So this post is a little bit different than the usual fashion oriented posts but I really love this product so I feel I have to share this with you! I bought a S’well water bottle from Jean Machine last week (sorry the water bottles are only available in store at the moment). I had heard a lot of great things about these water bottles so I decided finally to get one. Before I went into the store I thought about getting the Onyx one because duh, it would match my entire wardrobe and you can’t get much more goth with your water bottles than having one that’s black. However! I didn’t end up getting that one because, low and behold! there was a white sparkly one called Milky Way! Now before learning the name of the colour of this bottle I named it the unicorn bottle because it’s shiny and sparkly and lovely so that’s what I’ll be calling it from now on.

Besides from the fabulous look of these water bottles they’re actually super useful. They can keep your drink cold for 24 hours which is pretty awesome, but even better than that is that the bottle doesn’t sweat with condensation. That is super handy if you’re like me and tend so shove everything in your purse and then get everything wet. I’ve totally had situations where I’ve gone to school and thrown a bottle of water in my bag only to find out when I get to class that my notes are soggy.

Just yesterday I put tea in my unicorn bottle instead of buying some at work and was super proud of myself for saving money and reducing waste. I got to work and went to grab my tea only to realize that I had left it on my front hall table (of course I would). “Oh well” I thought to myself, “this will be a great opportunity so see if my tea will be warm when I get home,” so I waited.

Originally I was only work until 5 p.m, but because of work shenanigans I ended up working until 9p.m, and having made my tea around 8:30 that morning I thought the likelihood of my tea still being warm pretty slim. But oh boy was I wrong! It was still warm and delicious and it brightened up my shitty day!

These bottles are definitely worth every penny and you don’t just have to feel good about saving money on water bottles and tea/coffee and reducing waste but they also support a great cause. For every bottle sold a tree is planted and S’well is also a partner with UNICEF USA to provide clean water in countries that need it.

If you’re looking for a snazzy new water bottle for the summer I highly recommend S’well water bottles because you’re supporting multiple good and sustainable causes and they look fabulous!
