Finding Neverland
Finding Neverland – A sweet and but sad film (sorry, make sure you have tissues) about a widow (Kate Winslet) raising her sons with the help of her (overbearing) mother. By chance they meet a playwright (JOHNNY DEPP!) who brings fun and adventure to their lives.
- Sometimes things are just better when you use your imagination. Take a drink every time Sylvia’s rowdy offspring play pretend.
- Is it just me or is there a lot of crying in this film? Lets take a drink every time someone cries to drown our sorrows!
- Someone is writing a play you say? Well isn’t that just hunky-dory! Take a drink every time James writes something.
- How do we get to this Neverland? With fairy dust and wishes you say? Will some wine or gin and tonic due? Fabulous! Take a drink every time someone mentions Neverland!
- Sylvia’s mum seems like a bit of a jerk doesn’t she? We better take a drink every time she’s mean to someone, you know, for good measure.
Hook
Hook – One of my favourite childhood films and a classic. This film was back in the day when they did more practical effects, which I tend to find are way better anyways, so you really feel like Neverland is a place that you can travel to. I CALL DIBS ON BEING A MERMAID! Just putting that out there…
- Clocks and their infernal ticking noises are the bane of Captain Hook’s existence, and seem to cause him great annoyance. Lets take a drink every time we hear ticking to calm ourselves.
- Happy thoughts! So that’s how we get to Neverland! Let’s take a drink every time someone mentions happy thoughts or takes us on their happy-thought journey.
- Care Bear Stare!! I mean, Peter Pan Stand!! Take a drink every time someone does the Peter Pan stance.
- That Captain Hook seems real bossy. Take a drink every time he gives someone orders.
- Rufio! Rufio! We can’t forget about that super cool and talented young man! Take a drink every time Rufio’s name is mentioned.
